It doesn’t take long for children to recognize that they look different from others in their family or even in their neighborhood. Helping your children to accept their differences and even to them is important. To an adoptive parent, sometimes we forget that our children are different. Our love reaches past the differences and we feel like we’ve always belonged together. But it’s important to remember that the child may always feel different. Helping your child to prepare for answers is beneficial.
