Reminiscing

Facebook notified me that I posted this photo on Facebook 2 years ago and it has me feeling all kinds of nostalgia. Little did I know how much my life was going to change in exactly ten days. I didn't know how much I could love, and hurt, and protect. I had no idea how much labor hurts. I had no idea how much more it would hurt to kiss her little cheeks goodbye. But I also had no idea how fiercely I could love another person. Or how happy someone else's smile could make me. I love my birth daughter so much and I will make her proud.
