Aiden

from Bulgaria

Healthy brothers Corey and Aiden were born in September 2002 and February 2004, respectively. Corey has been diagnosed with a speech articulation disorder and Aiden with a mixed disorder of scholastic skills and mild cognitive delay.

Corey is a hardworking, sensitive boy who is nearly always smiling and cheerful. He interacts well with children of all ages, accepts differences, and easily makes friends. Corey follows the rules and shows particular skill in working as part of a team. He is a dedicated and determined student who completed 7th grade in 2016/2017, willingly putting in extra time after school to compensate for some academic gaps. He enjoys computer activities, soccer, and judo. Corey keeps his appearance and personal space neat and clean. He has a positive attitude towards adoption.

Aiden respects the rules and readily completes tasks at his orphanage. He plays well with his peers and seeks help from adults when needed. Aiden is a motivated student who completed 6th grade in 2016/2017 with the support of a resource teacher. He can be stubborn and often struggles in regulating his emotions. He has difficulty expressing his thoughts, likely related to a poor overall vocabulary, and he uses nonverbal means to augment his communication. Aiden enjoys outdoor activities, especially soccer, as well as watching cartoons and playing on a computer. He has good personal hygiene habits and keeps his belongings tidy. Like his brother, Aiden has a positive view of adoption.
