Brandon is a very healthy boy who was born in April 2007. He has been diagnosed with speech and cognitive delays.

Update Jan 2018: During the 3 years that he has been at his current orphanage Brandon has adapted well and made notable progress. He is a well-intentioned boy who comprehends nearly all that is said to him but struggles to express himself verbally. He currently speaks in two to three word sentences and augments his communication with gestures. Brandon has friends at school and at his orphanage and plays in groups as well as independently. As a 3rd grade student, Brandon works under an individual language and mathematics program with the help of a resource teacher and also receives speech therapy. He is an inquisitive boy who enjoys school and learns best by repetition. Brandon likes to draw and color, watch TV, play computer games, and play outside. He loves music and shows a good sense of rhythm. He enjoys helping with household chores.

This sweet boy would clearly benefit from individual attention, specialized learning support, and the affection of a forever family.

March 2017: Brandon has well-developed gross motor skills, understands most of what is said to him, and follows directions. He is a shy boy who expresses his emotions appropriately and does not show impulsivity or aggression. Brandon vocalizes single words but his communication is mainly via non-verbal means. His speech delays make conversations difficult and while his interactions with others are well-meaning, he struggles to make friends. Brandon often prefers to play by himself but he will also join in group games with a positive attitude.

Despite difficulty with focus and memory he shows a willingness and interest in school and likes encouragement. Brandon sleeps well, eats independently with a good appetite, and manages his personal hygiene.
