Jude was born in March 2005 to parents with alcoholism. He has been diagnosed with infantile cerebral palsy affecting his lower limbs more than his upper limbs and significant delays in development.
Jude walks on his own with some instability. He shows delays in fine motor skills and is unable to write but will color for short periods of time and enjoys doing puzzles. Due to low muscle tone in his mouth he has difficulty with pronunciation of single words and prefers nonverbal communication. He is an emotional boy who manifests some anxiety, dislikes loud noises, and does not participate in group games. Jude attends school with the support of an assistant. He knows his colors, shapes, animals, vegetables, and fruits. Although Jude needs assistance with personal hygiene he is able to feed himself independently.
