- Case #Millie
Millie was born in August 2002. She is a healthy, typically developing girl who lived with her birth family for the first 12 years of her life before being placed in the orphanage where she currently resides.
Millie is a well-intentioned girl who follows the rules, engages appropriately with adults and peers, and has a circle of friends. Often timid in new environments she is comfortable and communicative in familiar situations. Based on her lack of consistent schooling prior to 2015, Millie has some academic gaps and has difficulty mastering the required material. In spite of this, she attends school (8th grade) regularly, where she reads, writes, and participates in class. Millie prefers group activities over individual tasks and enjoys art and music. She can sometimes be sharp-tongued with her peers, acting without thinking, but is quick to reconcile.
Millie has a good understanding of adoption and wishes to have a forever family of her own.
