Antuan can be very animated! When you start to get to know him, you will learn this, as he tells you about all of his favorite videos and characters - his hands move, his eyes light up, and he makes awesome sound effects! Some of Antuan?EUR(TM)s favorite games on the DS are Pok?(C)mon, Spore Creatures, Lego Batman, and Angry Birds. He also likes Halo. Some of his other interests include swimming, wrestling with his brother, and playing games with his sister. Antuan is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. He tends to act younger than his age and recognizes that he has difficulty with peer relationships. Structure and routine are very important to Antuan. He thrives with opportunities to experience and master things, so he feels more secure about his own abilities.
Antuan and Isis enjoy outings and spending time with each other. Although they don?EUR(TM)t currently reside together, they see each other frequently. When they are together, they enjoy climbing trees, swimming, playing video games, and sharing a meal. Although Antuan is older than Isis, he tends to act younger and prefers to play by himself. He knows so much about video games; he can describe his favorite game ?EURoeHalo?EUR in detail with sounds and hand movements! Isis is very social, outgoing, and interactive with adults and peers. She has a diverse array of interests, such as playing with baby dolls and Barbie?EUR(TM)s; swimming; and going outside. Antuan and Isis are honest and admit they argue on occasion, like most typical siblings. Despite this, they share a close bond, and Isis said they even cry together when they are sad. Antuan is looking for a family that will always be there for him. He will do best with a family that is nurturing and non-authoritarian. Antuan would love to have a mom and a dad who are patient and gentle. He is open to living in the city, suburbs, or a rural setting. A peaceful environment with lower stimulation is ideal. A family with few or no children in the home is preferred. Antuan is familiar with church and a Christian setting. He will do better with a slower transition in order to build trust with his family. Antuan has an older brother who is not part of this adoption. He would like to maintain contact with him, so local families will be considered first.
