- Case #80565
Destiny is a friendly girl who appreciates a lot of on-on-one attention. She is affectionate and sweet. She enjoys dancing, singing, swimming, sports, and listening to music. Destiny is learning to use appropriate coping skills to deal with everyday impulses and frustrations. She is also trying to increase trust in others, build appropriate social relationships, and improve her self-image. She benefits from guidance and reinforcement to assist with her progress in these areas. Destiny loves pizza, spaghetti, and ice cream. Her favorite classes in school are athletics and health classes. When she is with her friends she enjoys going to the movies, haunted houses, and Six Flags. Destiny also enjoys roller skating and ice skating with friends.
Destiny needs a family who will be patient through her adjustment and will provide a structured and nurturing environment. She will benefit from a supportive environment, positive reinforcement, clearly defined rules and boundaries, and consistent discipline. Destiny's parental figures will be strong, caring, and committed to helping her get on the right track. Because Destiny requires a lot of one-on-one attention, she will do best in a home where she is the youngest or the only child in the home. She will benefit from role models who can demonstrate appropriate and positive peer interactions. Destiny is capable of making progress, but will need time to build trust and confidence in a new situation.
