Jordon is an alert, curious and sociable youth. He loves toys and playing with other children. He is cheerful and optimistic. Jordon has a hard time sitting still at times however with redirection he is able to follow instructions. Jordon has limitations in the ability to function in areas of daily life, such as communication and self-care. He needs extensive support and assistance on a daily and regular basis at home and school. Jordon needs help with home living, social skills and leisure, health and safety, self-direction, functional activities, community use and work. Jordan learns at a slower rate than other children his age. He has a hearing impairment for which he wears hearing aids. He is learning American Sign Language. He also is legally blind in one eye. Jordon is very active and loves being outdoors. He likes basketball and swimming.
Jordon will benefit from a two parent household with older siblings who all know or are willing to learn American Sign Language. The ideal parents will be attentive, loving and be able to redirect with patience and understanding. The family that will best fit Jordon will be active and enjoy outside sports as well. Jordan needs parents who will help with daily living and hygiene tasks. Jordon will do great with a mature older sibling who can be a good influence, kind and understanding of his needs.
