Paola is a lovable, sweet child who enjoys spending time with her caregivers and smiles to show affection. She smiles every time her caregivers talk to her. Paola is diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy, although she has not had a seizure in over six months. She is also diagnosed with Shaken Baby Syndrome. Paola receives therapy to assist with her motor skills. She is able to move, but is unable to hold herself up. She can hold her head up for about 20-30 seconds. She needs support to sit up and she can kick her legs, but is unable to hold up her weight on them. Paola enjoys watching cartoons and will make sounds when she hears them singing and begin to bounce her legs to show her excitement. She likes toys that have lights and sounds. Paola is a strong child who has overcome many obstacles in her life. She has the ability to develop loving relationships with her caregivers.
