Shaylon is a bright child with an outstanding personality. She is very energetic and requires constant supervision and frequent re-direction. She loves to watch TV and also loves to emulate her older sibling, Chanterica. Shaylon is a talker who can easily establish rapport with anyone around her. At school, she interacts well with her peers but becomes unfriendly when things are not as she would like them. She has difficulty sitting still for a long time and needs prompts to stay on task. She receives home-based supportive to help manage her behavior. Shaylon is bonded with her sister, Chanterica and also at times exhibits the typical sibling competitiveness. With positive reinforcement such as turn taking, winning and losing graciously and sharing, Shaylon can express herself appropriately. Shaylon loves playing with dolls, shopping for clothes, and playing dress up. She enjoys eating pancakes on Saturday morning with her family; she likes all types of animals and her favorite foods are chicken nuggets, corn bread, and ice cream.
Shaylon and her sister, Chanterica are very delightful children. They are close siblings and they love and care for each other. Chanterica, the older of the two, is very protective of Shaylon which sometimes can be taken as being bossy. Chanterica and Shaylon are very engaging and have wonderful personalities. They enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities which include watching their favorite movies and participating in Church activities. They are the type of children who win the admiration of anyone around them. Chanterica is quiet, well-mannered, and soft spoken. She likes to read and draw. Shaylon is energetic and likes to talk. She develops rapport with others easily.
Shaylon would like to be adopted with her older sister. She and her sister will do well in a single or two-parent home that will provide them with a safe, structured, secured nurturing permanent home and also provide them with a sense of belonging.
