- Case #80576
Timothy is a typical teen who enjoys dancing, art, and singing. Some of his other favorite activities are playing video games, reading books, and anything competitive. He likes ice cream, burgers, and noodles. Timothy enjoys school and his favorite subject is English/reading. At times, he has difficulty finishing assignments and can be easily distracted. When distracted, he struggles to follow directions given by adults. Timothy is slow to accept change and needs patience and frequent prompts when moving to a new environment or making changes to his schedule. He sometimes struggles with low energy and fatigue, as well as learning from previous experiences. Like most teens, he sometimes needs reminders to keep up with daily chores. Timothy is very independent and tries to accomplish tasks for himself. He wants to matter and be a part of a family who loves him no matter what. Timothy is an outstanding youth who is affectionate and loving towards others. He has so much to share with his forever family.
Timothy will benefit from a home environment that is stable and well-structured with close supervision. He will also benefit from participation in extracurricular activities to promote positive peer planning. Timothy has had many changes in his life (at home and at school) recently and has expressed a great desire to have a "normal" teenage life. A family who will commit to allowing Timothy a safe place to express himself and continue to help him reach his goal is desired. The family for Timothy will be able to spend a lot of one-on-one time with him and be willing to access the resources he needs. Timothy has shown consistent progress over time and needs a family willing to advocate for him while providing new challenges to encourage his progress.
