Ayana from Virginia

Ayana is a fun fifteen-year-old child. She is insightful, friendly and has a good sense of humor. She likes to keep things moving! She loves being active, whether she's swimming, riding her bike, doing exercise programs, or working on an arts and crafts project. Her artistic talent has blossomed recently due to her effort in fine tuning it. Listening to music is another of Ayana's favorite things to do; she loves discovering new music and sharing it with her friends and family. She enjoys doing her nails and going shopping. She has many other interests and hobbies such as going to the trampoline park, going out to eat, playing on her Ipod, playing games, dancing, reading, and playing cards. She hopes to go to a Why Don't We concert soon and is interested in joining a football, softball, baseball, and/or volleyball team. Teachers report that Ayana is a pleasure to have in the school, and she has made positive connections with many of them. Ayana is an eager learner and a strong advocate. She likes volunteering including with Habitat for Humanity. Ayana would also like to volunteer at a dog shelter and plans to enter the military after she graduates from high school. Ayana desires to be adopted. She hopes to be a part of a family who enjoys being active and listening to music, too. She has stated that she would love to be a part of a family that has a dog, although other pets are okay, except snakes! Ayana is most successful when provided with consistency, concise instructions, and honesty; she thrives on routine. Ayana needs a family that can be firm, nurturing and patient. In our effort to limit the digital footprint of our children and youth, Virginia has elected to only provide photos to inquiring families. (A digital footprint could be described as a trail left behind when someone uses the internet (e.g. websites visited, social media accounts, photos, etc.). The state wants to be cautious as to who can see and potentially have access to youth’s info.
