This sibling group of four is very attached to one another and must be adopted together. The older girls recognize the importance of family and parental love after the loss of their own mother due to illness. The children promise to love their new parents wherever they may be found. JERICA was born in October 2003 and is a healthy, typically developing teenager. She is radiant and well-intentioned, but can also be stubborn and temperamental. Jerica is honest, direct and fun in her communications with others despite some slight challenges with speech rhythm and articulation. Jerica is believed to have the potential for good academic results, but she is currently not very motivated for scholastic achievement. JOLENE was born in May 2005 and is a healthy, typically developing teen. Despite being shy and slowly building up her self-esteem, she is described as an emotionally well-balanced, responsible, and principled girl. Jolene has academic gaps due to irregular schooling prior to being in state care, but she is a diligent, organized, motivated student who shows regular attendance and completes her assignments. Her thinking is logical and she can draw appropriate connections and conclusions. Jolene is an excellent multitasker with a strong sense of justice and good ability to compromise. JASPER was born in February 2009 and is healthy. He is a polite and inquisitive boy who likes to asks questions and learn new things. His cognitive potential currently appears to be slightly below average, but he is a disciplined, motivated student. Jasper works with a speech therapist to overcome some language gaps and is making great progress. Jasper has age-appropriate emotional maturity and easily makes friends. He enjoys praise and encouragement and considers every mistake a lesson learned. JAX was born in February 2012, and while healthy, shows global developmental delays, some of which are being addressed via therapy. He is described as an energetic boy who engages in diverse play and enjoys peer contacts. Due to a lack of social experience, Jax can be anxious, stubborn and demanding. He seeks and requires a lot of attention from adults and has a deep desire for closeness. While the children feel well-cared for at their group home and are appreciative of the opportunities they are given there, all have a positive attitude toward adoption and are looking forward to a secure future in a big family. They even have thought about the wall colors for their rooms in a new home abroad! Update as of October 2020: This sibling group of four is very attached to one another and must be adopted together.
