Meet Ryan, an outgoing young man with a great sense of humor! Ryan has a ton of interests that just might make your family a wonderful match for him. When it comes to school, Language Arts is one of his favorite subjects. Ryan is an incredibly strong reader who can get lost in himself for hours pouring over long books like the Harry Potter series, or reading about his favorite Manga characters. When his nose isn’t in a book, this creative teen also loves to spend time drawing funny pictures and using power tools to build cool things out of wood. Never one to settle for the boring things in life, Ryan has a real passion for airplanes, especially F-18 Fighter Jets, and one day hopes to join the Air Force. Ryan can sometimes be described as a bit of an eclectic old soul, due to his passion for all things Star Trek; James Bond and Sea-Shanty music related. If those interests aren’t your thing, and you’re a family who likes to spend time outdoors, Ryan is looking forward to bonding with you over a shared love of camping, fishing, swimming, hanging out at the beach, and travelling to awesome places as a family. This special teen is particularly looking for a strong father connection- a Dad who will help him build forts, ramps or maybe even a dirt-bike track; or who would love to take in a Seattle Mariners or Denver Broncos game together. Ryan and his Permanency Team are searching for a trauma-informed, active family with both a Mom and a Dad, who have structure in their home but are also very nurturing and attentive. Ryan would do really well as an only child, however his team is also open to hearing from families who may have younger aged children in the home. Ryan has lived on a farm in the past. Though he is open to any family who may be a good fit for him, he’s especially excited about the possibility of living in the country, with animals to help care for. Ryan has sibling connections and needs a family who will be dedicated to helping him maintain those important relationships as he grows older. Ryan is counting down the days until foster care is a thing of the past and is looking forward to a bright future full of love, stability and endless possibilities! If you can envision Ryan as a part of your family’s future, please send us your inquiry today!
