Our Sweet Pets

Jan 07, 2020

Mickey is our 4 year old Chi-Pin. Dot is our 1 year old Long Hair Domestic Kitty. Both Mickey and Dot have been with us since they were babies. Mickey was rescued from a shelter at 4 months old. He loves to pose for the camera and enjoys being dressed up. When it's time for bed he will let you know by just going into our room and jumping under the blankets. Amanda found Dot in her work parking lot when she was 1 week old. The vet told us not to expect her to make it. Amanda woke up every two hours to feed her, cuddle her, keep her warm and medicate her for the first 2 months of her life. Now, she is a playful, rambunctious and sassy 1 year old cat. Her and Mickey absolutely adore one another and sometimes if we are lucky, we can catch them actually laying down together.

Our Home

Since Vincent's father passed away, we moved back into his childhood home to be with his mother. We ensure we spend a few hours at night with her and eat dinner with her as well. Our house has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a combined kitchen, dining room and living room. Our neighborhood is very small and most of the neighbors all know each other. We have access to 3 parks in the area as well as an indoor community pool. We have a generous sized backyard and a huge front porch. What we love most about our area is that there are so many families here with small children. Amanda's favorite spot in the house is the nursery. Right now, there is a small couch by the window where Amanda loves to sit and read. Vincent's favorite spot is undoubtedly the office. He gets all of his work done there and is constantly tinkering with new technology. Our home is a welcoming space where we hold game nights twice a month with our close friends and family.

Why We Want To Adopt

Jan 07, 2020

We have been trying to have a baby for quite some time. We were pregnant twice, once with twins and then a single pregnancy. Sadly, both were lost very early on. However, we have coped with our loss as a couple and were supported by our loving family. Now that we have processed our grief, we are ready to welcome a baby into our lives. We have always wanted children and waited patiently for the right time to start a family. Parenting has always been in our hearts, and after deciding the best thing for our family was to become parents, fate led us to adoption. We are excited about adopting and beginning this journey. I, Amanda, and my sister, were also adopted as infants. I understand what it's like to have another family out there. Recently, I received the opportunity to meet my birth family in person. It was such a fulfilling moment in my life and one that I will cherish forever. I now have a strong relationship with my birth family and talk to my birth mother and sister every day.
