Robbie and I celebrated 8 years of marriage yesterday. As I look back on those 8 years we have been through a lot, yet it feels like yesterday. The adage that the days are long, but the months and years are short rings true for me.
We have graduated, moved, started a new job and residency, brought home our first born, moved again, finished residency, moved again started new jobs, bought a house and brought home our second baby boy. Amidst all of that have been sleepless nights, heartache, joy, infertility, miscarriages, vacations, milestones, new friends and lots of family growth.
I think choosing a partner is all about finding the person who’s “crazy” you can tolerate and who you can love through it all. Robbie is my soul mate, best friend and greatest support. I am grateful that he decided he could tolerate my “crazy” enough to marry me, and that he continues to choose me every second of every day.
We ache for the missing piece to our family and hope for the future because we have a lot of “crazy” love to share.
