Thank you for taking the time to look at our profile while you are contemplating adoption for your child. We respect that this is a difficult time for you and welcome any questions. We'd like to tell you about ourselves in hopes of determining if we might be a good match for one another.
We are committed to raising a child in a safe environment, where they can thrive and learn. We will always be open to them about their adoption story.
We are a laid-back couple that has been together since 2012- married in Fall of 2016, which is our favorite season. Our first date was mini golfing and batting cages; luckily we instantly "clicked". We enjoyed getting to know each other while dating over the next 3 years. We learned that our families have much of the same values including kindness to others and being community oriented. We especially bonded over being animal lovers and now have a cat and dog that are cuddle bugs.
We enjoy spending time with our friends, who are a wonderful support system. Erin's closest friends have been in her life since she was in elementary school and Andrew's closest friendships were created in college. Together, we enjoy going to places like the movies, sporting events, the zoo/aquarium, and different museums. We also try to do a vacation yearly to the beach or to a city we've never been to. Wherever we are, we try to learn about the history there, since the world is such a big place!
Though we were raised with different religions, neither of us are very religious, but very much enjoy celebrating holidays with our families on both sides. It has actually worked out well for us because we don't often have to split the day between families (except Thanksgiving!). Truly, the best part about the holidays for us is seeing the joy and excitement in our nieces' and nephew's eyes. Every year, we go to the holiday light show at a local farm. It's well known in our area and gets bigger every year! We live in a suburban town, in a tight-knit neighborhood that is walking distance to the elementary school.
Adopting has actually always been the plan for us. We would prefer to have at least a semi-open adoption so that your child can learn about their heritage and ask questions to you directly. We are committed to raising a child in a safe environment, where they can thrive and learn. We will always be open to them about their adoption story.
