We have an abundance of family who are ready to adore the newest member of our crew. One of the best parts of our family is the huge variety of people from different countries, faiths, and cultures. David’s dad was born in Lebanon, while Jordan’s dad was born in New Jersey. Our nieces on one side speak Spanish, and Farsi on the other. No matter our child’s cultural background, academic interests, or spiritual beliefs, our family is guaranteed to love and support them in whoever they are and whatever they do. The vast majority of our family lives near our home base in Washington, D.C., but with the nature of our work, we spend 2-3 years overseas at a time. This requires us to be creative in how we stay connected. Our son loves our weekly video calls with his grandmas and cousins, and we send them his best artwork at least once a month. Every year we look forward to Thanksgiving in Richmond with David’s family and visits from Jordan’s family on Christmas. No matter where we go, our children will know that they are a part of a large, loving, and accepting family.

Music - Jordan grew up playing the piano and its important to us that our children have the same opportunity to fall in love with creating music.
Baking – Whether it’s a birthday, work event, or a bunch of overripe bananas, Jordan will take any excuse to bake something delicious.
NFL Football – David grew up watching Washington games with his grandfather and is still a diehard fan!
Road trips – Jordan grew up traveling all around the U.S. (she’s been to 47 states!) and she loves continuing to explore the East Coast with David.
Podcasts – Whether its comedy, history, or science, podcasts give us something new to think about while we make dinner, do chores, or just hang out.
Thanksgiving with David’s family – The turkey is always good, but it’s the three different kinds of stuffing that are the real highlight.

" I have known Jordan for a little under 3 years and David about 2, and I have never met a more genuine and kind couple. Their warmth, humor, and intellect make them magnets for great friends and interesting conversations. Everyone loves them individually and as a couple. They both manage to strike the perfect balance between being fun and energetic while also being really down-to-earth and good listeners. When I started my job in DC, I met Jordan and was immediately blown away by how organized and professional she is - all while being nice and warm to everyone. Jordan is one of the most thoughtful people I know, and I know I can always count on her to remember small details about my life (and the lives of all of her friends, family, and co-workers). Jordan is so nurturing and inclusive; I have never met anyone that hasn't been impressed by how she loves those around her. She and David truly care about the people in their lives, and it is amazing to watch how they bring people together. They are the best! "
