Hello! We are so grateful you are taking the time to consider us and want you to know we are an open book to you. Anything more you would like to know, please just ask. We know this is not an easy time and we have such great love, respect, and admiration for you.
A L O H A ! ! !
Hi, we are Kevin and Lauren Kartchner and we’ve been married for 2 years and are hoping to adopt. When Lauren was 16 she found out that it would be very difficult to conceive. Since then, with ups and downs along the way, she has always had a deep desire to adopt. When we were married in November of 2018, we visited several fertility specialists to discuss our options. After just under two years of hormone therapy we have felt the urgency to start the adoption journey and we’ve never been more excited! Thank you for taking the time to get to know us and read about us. We already love you and hope to one day meet you!
A few important things to know about us are: we are members of the Church of Jesus Christ and are active participants of our faith, we love spending time with our families who live close by, we enjoy traveling and experiencing different cultures, we are frequently playing games, reading books, watching TV, exercising or being with friends, and we love good food!
Kevin’s favorite food is guacamole. Our favorite vacation is Puerto Aventuras, Mexico. Kevin served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ in that area and we go at least once a year! Kevin enjoys basketball, exercising, grilling, and you will always see him with a business or self-development book. Kevin was a professional extreme unicyclist during and after high school and competed around the country and in the 2012 World Championship in Italy and placed 4th place in the Street competition. Kevin speaks Spanish and we hope to teach our children Spanish. He graduated from Utah State University in Accounting and is currently pursuing a Masters of Real Estate Development at the University of Utah. He works for his father’s company, Kartchner Homes, doing sales and operations.
Lauren’s favorite food is ice cream! She is fun, smart, bright, and loving. She will always go out of her way to make sure someone feels cared for and appreciated. She enjoys hiking, painting, exercising, and spending time with family. She attended LDS Business College studying interior design before choosing to work at Kartchner Homes as the color selection coordinator. Lauren served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ in Montreal Quebec, French speaking.
We realize that children are so malleable when they are young. Ensuring that they receive proper love, education, and guidance is crucial at a young age. We hope to travel and teach about loving others despite their background or circumstances.
In the time we’ve been married we have gone through ups and downs just like any other couple. Prayer and apologizing quickly have been our antidotes for overcoming challenges. We’ve learned that we need each other and we know family is so important. We are so excited to adopt and to give everything we have to raising your child. We look forward to keeping a relationship with you, if that’s what you desire.
Thank you again for your selflessness and love. We are here for you and love you. We pray for you and your journey.
Kevin and Lauren
