Muhammad Ali is quoted saying, “You don’t lose if you get knocked down, you lose if you stay down.” When we got married, we were excited to welcome children into our family, but after 5 years of fertility treatments, we realized that God had other plans for our family. Adoption is common in our family, Kimberly’s grandmother, nephew, and cousins were adopted, so this has been a natural path for us to take.
“You don’t lose if you get knocked down, you lose if you stay down.
God is the foundation of our lives and marriage. We recognize God’s mercy and love in our daily life and believe that all people are beloved sons and daughters of God and entitled to respect and love.
From the beginning of our marriage, we have aimed to create an environment of learning and safety in our home; allowing individual interests room to grow. Building forts, planting a garden, and having neighborhood barbeques are just a few of the activities we want to share with our children.
We both have 4 siblings and enjoy spending time with them. One recent memory was a large family Christmas at the family cabin near Bear Lake. We spent the weekend with our nieces and nephews sledding down the hill, following turkey tracks in the snow, and playing board games.
This isn’t to paint us with a perfect, idyllic life. We have had regrets, pain, and suffering, and can imagine that this is a difficult time for you. Thank you for the opportunity to be considered. If chosen, we will raise this child with attention, love, and kindness. We support and welcome whatever involvement you would like to have in your child’s life.
We have included some additional information and photos below so you can get a better idea of who we are.
