What a time! New adventures in the wait! These past few months have whizzed by!! Luis has been in full swing with his photography these last few months, capturing family memories, birthdays, and senior photos! Getting to meet new people and hear their stories has been so new and fun, especially for both of our introvert selfs. We love being able to capture beautiful moments for families and I can’t help but think one day that will get to be us in front of the camera!☺️

Texas Snow!Jan 13, 2021
In our area of Texas, this does not happen very often!
It was so fun and beautiful. The pups played in the snowed a bit and then we all cuddled by the fire all warm and toasty for a movie day.
HolidaysDec 16, 2020
It is that time of year.....where we run around like headless chickens at full speed! The holidays!
It seems like we have been go, go, go since August. We bought our home and did a few renovations. Picking out paint is by far the HARDEST!
I work in the school system, so that has been a whirlwind that is ever changing, but it has been a good year so far. Luis has been steady at work, with a new route/area he is working in.
Thanksgiving was different, but bittersweet. We lost my sweet papa a week before Thanksgiving, so having family in town was a good time to spend with one another, and celebrate his life. He was an amazing man and we were so blessed to call him our Papa! Getting to be with family for a whole week was really good for all of our hearts I think. Especially getting all the sweet baby nephew cuddles!!
Christmas is right around the corner, and we are so ready to just get to spend time with those we love most. Game nights, endless laughs, good food, fires in the fireplace and cocoa bombs....joy.
Family.Jul 12, 2020
I am the oldest of all of my siblings. My Brother is 3 years younger than me and is married to his high school sweetheart. He is in the Navy and they currently live in Virginia and they are expecting their first baby any day now. I have 2 Step Brothers, one is 25 and lives in Louisiana and works for a non profit/web design. The other is recently married to his high school sweetheart and lives in the same town we do. I also have a little sister who is 18 years younger than me.(a teenager now) She was quite the surprise, but one of the biggest blessing in my life.
My parents divorced when I was 17 years old, but both are remarried, it's going to sounds crazy like out of a movie, but my parents married another set of divorced spouses...making my whole family come full circle. My Step Dad and Step Mom were married and had my 2 stepbrothers, my parents had my brother and I, and my Dad and Step Mom had my little sister.
It seems like a mess, but it really is amazing to see over time how great everything has turned out. I would not change a thing. My mom and Stepdad live on the border of Texas and New Mexico, but travel into town to visit often. My Dad, Step Mom, and Sister live in the same town as I do. I hang out with my little sister weekly. My Papa and Nana are a big part of our lives too, they live less than a mile up the road from us. We love to hang out when we can and play games and go swimming.

I am the middle child of 3. My sister is 11 months older than me and my brother who is 6 years younger. My older sister is married for 4 children, 2 grown and graduated children from her husband's side and 2 children together who are 7 and 5. My younger brother is married to his high school sweetheart, with no children...yet. My parents have been married for over 35 years and live in the same town as we do.
I was born in little town in Mexico, when I was 3 we moved to Texas, to the town we live in now. This is home. My parents have a passion for mission work and travel to Mexico a few times a year to minister and help those around the area. We love getting together for Birthday parties and holidays. I am really close with my brother and sister, we have a group chat we talk in daily.
Our HomeJul 07, 2020
We live in a ranch style home that sits on about 1.5 acres. It has a fenced in back yard with plenty of room to run around in. We also have a metal shop that we use when hosting family gatherings, which we try to do often! There's a field next to our shop that is big enough to play sports or other large group activities. What we love about our neighborhood is that its very diverse and calm. It's common to see people out for a stroll, walking their dogs, kids playing, and people riding their golf cart or bikes.
Why AdoptionJul 07, 2020
We found out very early in our marriage that it would be difficult and very unlikely for us to have biological children. That was very difficult to take in at 23 and 25 years old. We were happily married and ready to grow our family. We took it a little hard at first, but we didn't let it defeat us. We knew in our hearts growing our family would happen in time. We put the idea of children on hold for awhile and focused on our marriage and our faith. We were baptized again almost 4 years ago, in our current church. We felt like we had a strong foundation in the Lord and in our marriage, and were ready for the next step. That's when we began to research our options and the more we dove in, the more the Lord encouraged us to pursue adoption. Reading and listening to anything we can about adoption has truly opened our eyes to this beautiful and hard world of open adoption. We know this is exactly where we are supposed to be.
