Steven's thoughts on Lydia
One thing I know for certain is that Lydia will be an amazing parent. She is very nurturing and has a natural ability to engage with all kinds of people and kids of all ages. Kids love her because she is able to enter their world and speak to them on their level. I see proof of this every time we visit our nieces and nephews; they love their Aunt Lydia and are always sad when our visits come to an end. She is fun to be around, likes to spontaneously dance, and lights up when she's with kids. Lydia is also strong-willed and a powerful advocate for herself and her family. She is loving, creative, compassionate and empathetic. In addition to all this, I'm constantly impressed with her wisdom and she has the best relationship insights of anyone I know. She's my favorite person and I can't wait for Lydia to become the wonderful parent that I know she will be.
