Hello!
Our Family Story
Our relationship has always been full of friendship and love.
Scott grew up in Utah and I (Alexa) grew up in California. We met when I was just about to start grad school at the University of Utah. Scott was working as a Landscape Architect at the time. After a year of dating, we were married! Our relationship has always been full of friendship and love. Scott and I both have adventurous spirits and love to explore, hike, travel and go on walks. One thing we often do is stay up (way too) late, talking the night away. It can be cause for little sleep, but we wouldn't have it any other way!
Scott and I love our family and friends, and spend most of our time with them! We have been blessed with both of our families being very supportive all along the way of our very rocky journey to having a family. Our trials with our fertility have lasted 4.5 years now. After moving to California for Scott’s grad school we started our IVF treatments. On our 2nd IVF transfer last year I got an infection from the transfer, became septic and had to have emergency surgery. We truly felt like God was trying to tell us, not now, and pointing us in a different direction to adoption. We have always wanted to adopt, and after that experience we knew now was the time to pursue adoption!

Camping and good food, some of Scott's favorites.
About Scott: Written by Alexa
Scott is my gentle 6’6” giant.
Scott is my gentle 6’6” giant. When you meet him, you can just feel how kind and loving he is. When I first met him I instantly felt this warmth about him. Everyone loves Scott and loves his jokes too! He is always making everyone laugh around him. He is probably the most selfless person I know, always taking care of others and putting his family first. Scott is also one of the most hard working people I know. He is so ambitious, I call him my idea man, always coming up with new ideas for products or business, as this is a dream of his! He is a product designer, and he is very good at it! He would never say this about himself, as Scott is very humble, but he is probably one of the most creative people I know. You can find him tinkering around in his garden, building something, fixing something, drawing, painting, or writing music. Also, he is a magnet for children! I swear somehow they always find him, and gently sit on his lap. He will be the best father and I can not wait to see him raise our future children!

About Alexa: Written by Scott
She is so good at seeing the best in others and helping them find it in themselves.
One of the things that drew me to Alexa was how kind and understanding she is of other people. She is so good at seeing the best in others and helping them find it in themselves. It has been cool to see her work as a mental health therapist and help so many people improve their lives and change for the better, and she’s so great at helping people do that! Not just at work but also with friends and family, she is always so good at listening and helping others.
Alexa loves planning fun things to do together, some of her favorites are going to the beach and swimming, going on hikes, movies, bike rides, or just going on walks around our neighborhood.
She loves to travel and whenever we are able to go on a trip, I have to push myself to keep up with her. She always loves to explore new places and experience things.
She also has a great sense of humor and makes me laugh more than anyone else. We joke around a lot together and it makes life so much more fun.

We can't wait to hear from you!
Our Hope
we hope to have a close familial like relationship with our birth parents!
We just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to consider Scott and I as parents for your baby, we could not be more grateful! Our hearts ache for the decision you have ahead of you, and we want you to know, we are thinking and praying for you often. The amount of love we already feel for our future child and the future birth parents is unexplainable. We have 3 close family members that are birth mothers. Seeing them all go through the process of placing their babies for adoption was a beautiful and heartbreaking experience. We have so much love and respect for all birth mothers, as we have witnessed the strength and courage it takes from women in our lives who are near and dear to us.
We would love to have an open adoption if this is what you desire for your baby. We have seen such beautiful relationships between birth parents and adoptive parents in our family, and we hope to have a close familial like relationship with our birth parents!
Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know us a little more. We can not wait to meet you!
