Welcome to our Journey

Dear Expectant Parent/Parents,
You’re looking for a wonderful home and future for your child and we’re looking to share our love and lives with another child in our family. Perhaps we are looking for each other?

We want to start by thanking you for taking the time to learn a little about our family. We are so excited that you are considering us for the amazing privilege of being your baby’s parents.

I didn't give you the gift of life, life gave me the gift of you.

We realize this must be the most difficult decision you will ever make. Thank you for making the decision to give life to your child. Choosing an adoption plan is a very brave, courageous, loving and absolutely selfless act. It takes a very special person to consider helping another couple make their dreams come true! We would be so honored should you choose to give us this incredible gift!

Our Wedding Day 2005

Our Story

Our life together as told by Tiffany – we met in 2003 when we taught in the same school in Idaho. We taught in the same building but didn’t know each other well, until a co-worker decided to change that. We had planned to go out as a group and by the end of the planning it ended up just being the two of us! From that “date” on, we were always together.

I knew when I met you, an adventure was going to happen.

Patrick took the time to begin learning sign language by working with one of my students and through that he proposed in sign language! A guy definitely after my heart!

We were married in 2005, our wedding week was magical being surrounded by family and friends. Patrick’s family definitely takes advantage of a wedding as a family reunion and almost all of his large family was there – many traveling over 1000 miles!

We love adventure so 8 days after being married we moved to Hawaii for jobs! Our first year of marriage was a honeymoon as we lived in Hawaii! We continued our adventure and our desire to live on the East Coast and moved to Maine for 8 years.

While living and loving Maine, we were beyond blessed after 4 years of infertility and being told by 2 specialists that we would never naturally conceive – we were pregnant! Our amazing daughter Ellisyn “Ellie” was born. We were thrilled to be parents and have loved every minute with her. We were shocked when we became pregnant again and saddened at our first appointment to learn the baby’s heartbeat had stopped. We were so blessed with Ellisyn and were excited about sharing our love with another child and for her to have a sibling. Unfortunately, we have not been unable to conceive again.

As our daughter has grown, she has expressed a great desire for a sibling which is saddening as we have been unable to provide that for her. As a family we had always discussed adoption and our daughter has encouraged us to finally begin this process.

Although we loved living in Maine, we lived too far away from our families. Our daughter didn’t see her family often so 3 years ago we moved closer to home. We are so fortunate to have our family close! Grandparents are with us for Grandparents Day at school, dance recitals, school performances, birthdays, and just to visit! Cousins come to play, aunts and uncles visit, and holidays are spent with family.

We are often doing things together as a family including attending the sporting events that Patrick coaches – football and wrestling. While I enjoy my involvement in Ellisyn’s school PTO and as a Girl Scouts co-leader.

As teachers, our lives have always been devoted to children. It is our hope that our family can expand to add another child into our hearts and home.

He Said....She Said....

My Wife

Tiffany grew up and spent a majority of her life in the great state of Oregon. Her love of her home state is only second to her love of her family. Tiffany has many passions in her life but none greater than her immediate and extended family.

You & Me together, we could do anything.

We had the opportunity four years ago to move back to my home state of North Dakota so we could be closer to our family and share the life of our daughter with her grandparents, aunts and uncles, and many cousins that reside in North Dakota. Nothing brings more joy into her world than spending time with family!

Another one of my wife’s great passions is working with children with hearing loss. She earned her Master Degree in Deaf Education and has made it her life’s work to provide these children with equal footing in a world where they have many obstacles to overcome. She has been a great advocate to these deaf children and their families as they begin to maneuver through these challenging times in their lives.

Education has always been a very important part of who Tiffany is, and she has instilled this into our 1st grade daughter who loves every minute of learning. She is also very involved in our Parent Teacher Organization at the Catholic School our daughter attends.

Tiffany and our daughter Ellisyn spend a lot of time bonding in the kitchen. The “Messy Baking Company” is always coming up with delicious treats for me to try! I am always amazed at the relationship she has with our daughter. We spent many years trying to have children and each moment that she can spend with Ellisyn she truly cherishes. She is not only a great mother but also an amazing wife! I am very fortunate that 13 years ago I was able to marry this amazing person and I am forever grateful that I am able to be a part of her life and this family.

My Wonderful Husband

Patrick is my teammate in life. He has an enormous love for family, both immediate and extended. We have enjoyed some wonderful adventures together living and travelling around the US! I know I am pretty biased about him, but he is the strongest and most caring person I know. He has been an amazing support in my life and I’m lucky to call him my husband and best friend.

When I met him, I knew that he was born to be a dad. His journey to fatherhood hasn’t been easy but through it all he was extremely positive and supportive. He loves to spend time with his family at home or on the road to support nieces and nephews in their activities. Growing up with 4 siblings, spending time with them has always been important. His fondest memories are of traveling to his grandparent’s to visit on weekends or holidays which is something we continue with our daughter. He plans annual MLB baseball trips to spend time with his dad, brother, and brother-in-laws as well as visits with sisters, aunts, uncles and grandparents.

Patrick has been a dedicated teacher and coach for 18 years, he has inspired many students in the classroom, on the field, on the mat, and in their personal lives. His greatest inspiration has and always will be his family.

The light of our life!

Our vibrant 7 year old that wants nothing more than to be a big sister. She’s loving, caring, thoughtful, helpful, silly, sassy, energetic, and nothing short of amazing! She attends 2nd grade at our local Catholic School where she loves to learn, spend time with her friends, increase her faith, and help others. She loves to participate in Girl Scouts, gymnastics and dance.

So many of my smiles begin with you...

During the summer she also enjoys soccer, t-ball, swim lessons, & art classes. She celebrated her 6th birthday at Disneyland – a magical trip of memories!
