If you ever need to find me, just look for the children or babies in the room and you’ll most likely find me there! I love spending time with children whether it’s teaching my nephew how to dive into the pool, helping my former student build Legos or simply hearing what their curious minds have to say. In fact, my teacher in high school hired me as her Preschool Assistant for her preschool program at the high school during the 4 years I attended college. After my college graduation, I became a Lead Teacher for an Infant/ Toddler classroom for 3 years, and later became a Dental Assistant for Dental Hygienists who work directly in elementary schools.
Natalie’s goal is to always leave a place or a person better than she found it
I would consider myself a homebody, BUT I also love exploring new places with Joe and being active. Some of my favorite activities include beating Joe at tennis, rollerblading, remodeling/ decorating, planning (and being on!) vacations, and spending time with family. In the evenings, you’ll most likely find me cuddled up next to Joe on the couch just talking about our day, our goals, our dreams and our forever.
I love salt and anything that contains salt. HA! I never knew that I was more of a “salt person” than a “sweets person” until I realized I could down a bag of popcorn or bag of chips by myself. I have a large collection of children’s books and have a hard time not adding to it whenever I find myself next to books at the store. Recently, I’ve been learning Spanish and I love to make Joe laugh with my very beginner accent.
Music has also been a passion of mine. Not only do I love listening to music, I also played the piano and flute from a young age. In fact, I continued playing the flute through middle school, high school and college where I decided to get a minor in music and also became the Piccolo Section Leader for the University of Utah Marching Band. Not many people know I also have a love for math. In college, I even had a professor ask me to be a tutor in Statistics!
What Joe loves about Natalie:
In short, everything! She is my best friend and there is no one else I would rather spend my time with. We could talk all day long and never get bored. She is a sincerely loving person. Friends, family, and coworkers can feel her love almost immediately. When she worked in a childcare facility the kids would light up when she walked into the room. I love how hard she works. Natalie’s goal is to always leave a place or a person better than she found it. She will sacrifice much of her personal time to make that happen. I really enjoy how much fun we have together. She is almost as competitive as me, which makes our tennis matches exciting! She is always up for adventure, whether that is trying exotic food or traveling to where I served my mission in Mexico City, I know she will have a great time.
