Hello There!

We are the Fuell family
We want to say thank you for taking the time to get to know our little family. We can only image the decisions, prayers and thoughts that have led you to this point, but I hope you know how grateful we are for you and your selfless decision. We are excited for you to get to know us and our story!

We feel so much peace and confidence with adoption.

Many, many decisions in our relationship have led us here and we could not be more excited, ready and confident to become parents

After years of infertility and multiple failed treatments, we know our Heavenly Father has an even greater plan for us. Many, many decisions in our relationship have led us here and we could not be more excited, ready and confident to become parents. We are surrounded by family and friends with all sorts of adoption stories, and we can personally see and understand how truly great it is for everyone involved.

A little bit about us…
Joe and I met through, something we like to call, an “arranged marriage”. Our dads work together and after years of talking about setting us up (yes, they even wanted to set us up well before our “marriage years”), everything fell perfectly together and we had our first date April 2014. I remember we would just sit and talk for hours and hours, and I realized I felt more comfortable and more at home with him than I had ever felt before. We had only been dating for a few weeks when a family friend said that she couldn’t believe we had only been dating that long. She felt like we had known each other for years! We were engaged a few months later and were married January 2015.

From early on in our relationship, our families have confidently nicknamed us the #PC (or the #PowerCouple). We enjoy doing everything, anything and absolutely nothing together. We find ourselves the happiest when we are together, and put our family first in everything we do. We are a family full of faith, joy, love and consideration for one another. Along with that, we believe in teaching our children the importance of the source of our strength which can be found through Jesus Christ. We can’t wait to share all of this with our children!

About Natalie

If you ever need to find me, just look for the children or babies in the room and you’ll most likely find me there! I love spending time with children whether it’s teaching my nephew how to dive into the pool, helping my former student build Legos or simply hearing what their curious minds have to say. In fact, my teacher in high school hired me as her Preschool Assistant for her preschool program at the high school during the 4 years I attended college. After my college graduation, I became a Lead Teacher for an Infant/ Toddler classroom for 3 years, and later became a Dental Assistant for Dental Hygienists who work directly in elementary schools.

Natalie’s goal is to always leave a place or a person better than she found it

I would consider myself a homebody, BUT I also love exploring new places with Joe and being active. Some of my favorite activities include beating Joe at tennis, rollerblading, remodeling/ decorating, planning (and being on!) vacations, and spending time with family. In the evenings, you’ll most likely find me cuddled up next to Joe on the couch just talking about our day, our goals, our dreams and our forever.

I love salt and anything that contains salt. HA! I never knew that I was more of a “salt person” than a “sweets person” until I realized I could down a bag of popcorn or bag of chips by myself. I have a large collection of children’s books and have a hard time not adding to it whenever I find myself next to books at the store. Recently, I’ve been learning Spanish and I love to make Joe laugh with my very beginner accent.

Music has also been a passion of mine. Not only do I love listening to music, I also played the piano and flute from a young age. In fact, I continued playing the flute through middle school, high school and college where I decided to get a minor in music and also became the Piccolo Section Leader for the University of Utah Marching Band. Not many people know I also have a love for math. In college, I even had a professor ask me to be a tutor in Statistics!

What Joe loves about Natalie:
In short, everything! She is my best friend and there is no one else I would rather spend my time with. We could talk all day long and never get bored. She is a sincerely loving person. Friends, family, and coworkers can feel her love almost immediately. When she worked in a childcare facility the kids would light up when she walked into the room. I love how hard she works. Natalie’s goal is to always leave a place or a person better than she found it. She will sacrifice much of her personal time to make that happen. I really enjoy how much fun we have together. She is almost as competitive as me, which makes our tennis matches exciting! She is always up for adventure, whether that is trying exotic food or traveling to where I served my mission in Mexico City, I know she will have a great time.
Being together and creating memories as a family are important to us. We especially love traveling and being outdoors!

About Joe

The best time to reach me is early in the morning. Waking up before the sun when the world is still quiet is how I love to start my day. I feel most of my days are a whirlwind so it is nice to begin the day with a solid foundation.

He excels in his educational and career goals, but his dedication and consideration for me is what makes me know I picked the best man out there

Beginning my day this way allows me to get the things needed to be done out of the way and permits me to focus more on others the rest of the day. It is a great time to make a good breakfast, work out, think, and read.

I love learning. If you look around our home you will usually find about four books that are all half read in different locations. Because I read several books at a time it can take a while to finish them. I studied History at the University of Utah because I love learning about different people and ideas. I am excited to start medical school in Tennessee in the fall and learn more about the science of the human body. Some of the reasons I chose to become a physician is the continued learning and active lifestyle.

I am an active person. I enjoy running around, working with my hands and other people. I have worked full time as a surgical technologist for the last three years working with a total joint team, and it is something that I really love. I also enjoy sports such as golf, tennis, basketball, and ping pong. I am a moderately competitive person although my wife may tell you that may be an understatement. I also enjoy being out in nature, hiking, skiing, and camping. We recently went snow shoeing in Bryce Canyon, and it was amazing!

What Natalie loves about Joe:
There is so much good to say about this man. My very favorite thing about Joe is how he treats me and our relationship. He excels in his educational and career goals, but his dedication and consideration for me is what makes me know I picked the best man out there. Also, I have never met a person that did not like him! He is very easy to get along with and just a few minutes with him and you will realize he is an optimist who can make any situation fun (he wrote me a song after only a week of dating!). I also admire his relationship with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. He is dedicated to improving himself and serving those around him, and I know that will make him a great father. He is my very best friend and the one I want by my side every day!
Our favorite moments are when we are together. Simple as that.

One Last Thing

There is so much more than we can ever say on paper. In fact, we prefer to tell you all of this and more in person (we have never been good at describing ourselves online!). Feel free to contact us whenever is right for you. We would love to meet you and get to know your story!

Love,
Joe and Natalie
