Charlie is Four!

Aug 17, 2017

Our sweet and sassy little redhead turned four this week. We can not believe how fast time flies. I would give anything to slow it down and memorize every moment of our time with her. She wanted a mermaid cake and party, making this the third year in a row! I thought for sure she'd be over The Little Mermaid by now but she ADORES Ariel and tells me daily that she "just wants to be a mermaid too." Brigham, Annie, and Cora had fun choosing a gift and wrapping it themselves. They also helped with decorating with balloons and ribbons. We spent the weekend with family- Friday night was pizza at a local restaurant, and Saturday we had all the cousins over to play. With over 30 people in our home it really was such a fun time. Charlie loves her cousins and had "the best birthday ever ever!" We're so grateful for our little Charlie and for the joy she brings into our lives.

Water park fun, back to school shopping, and priorities.

We have had such a fun summer together and are sad to see it ending. We took the kids to the local water park as one big last hurrah before school starts up again. It was crowded and hot but man did we have fun. Then this weekend we checked off school clothes, school supplies, and back to school haircuts and the kids are looking fresh and excited to see their friends and teachers again. I would have to say, as Mom, my personal favorite thing this summer was that we were finally able to get a table big enough to fit all of us and still have some room to grow. There is just something so special about sitting down together over dinner and strengthening those bonds of love that tie us together. We sure do love our little family and are grateful everyday that God has brought us together.

Family Reunion

Jul 03, 2017

What a fun week we just had! Carrie's side of our family came from all over the world to gather here in the Valley of the Sun for the first time in nearly a decade. It was so good to have everyone together. GGMom was over the moon being surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We had four generations there and the kids LOVED meeting and playing with all their distant cousins. We swam every day, went to a western gold mining camp town, rode a zip line, and ate at a pizza restaurant where a central organ is used to play instruments located all over the building. It was a blast catching up and learning what everyone's been up to and celebrating each other's accomplishments. Family is so important to us and we're thankful to have had the chance to renew and strengthen those bonds. So much fun!

School's out for Summer!

May 29, 2017

We've had such a busy week! Brigham had his last band concert of the year and they sounded SO fantastic! I can't believe how much he has improved his clarinet playing since the beginning of the school year. Annie got to play Beast in her school's production of Beauty and the Beast and she remembered all her lines. She was worried she'd be nervous but she had so much fun. Miss Cora graduated Kindergarten and we all got to go watch her receive her certificate and cheer her on. We are so proud of these munchkins and the progress they've made over the last nine months. Now, time to enjoy the summer!!
