“Blood is thicker than water” may be a true statement, but in our family, blood has nothing to do with it. Allegiance to family, especially when it comes to siblings, is blind to blood. Adopted or biological, our children’s bond began the day each child joined our family. And although there was no shortage of typical rivalry, there was also no shortage of love.
