Who doesn’t love a feel-good video like this one?! Auckland’s Funfest Charitable Trust and Trillian Trust treated families with special needs children to a wonderful day at the carnival recently. Adoptive and biological families of children with special needs gathered to play games, hop on rides, and shoulder rub with celebrity characters. “I don’t like to smile much myself,” said Batman, “but I do like putting smiles on their faces.”

Besides providing a day of fun for the kids, the organizations’ focus was on lifting some of the stress and strain that these good parents carry on a daily basis. Organizer, Doug Te Moni said, “So just for today if we can put smiles on their faces and transport them to a place of happiness and fun and for mum and dad to have all the stress taken away, we’ve got to be winning.”
