Crazy CoVid

Mar 16, 2021

With Mike being a nurse and Julie in education, this past year of CoVid has been very different. Julie adjusted to working from home, then in school, then home, then school. Mike went to work every day first with a lot of unknown and slowly learning more and more about how to handle and treat CoVid-19. With these stressful times, one of the things we love the most was stopped...traveling. We talked for a while and decided we could still travel as long as we kept private and we bought a travel trailer. We decided camping was a way for us to expierience traveling without risk of hotels, resorts, or too many other people. Kasha and Oliver were excited too. Kasha loves sitting in the sun and Oliver enjoys the shade, the breeze and his bed. Oh, and they both love going crazy over squirrels and making new doggy friends wherever we go! Julie names our trailer Betty White. We are excited as another camping season is approaching to get back out and see more of the beautifulness by which we are surrounded and appreciate the little things we are still so lucky to have!

Welcome Kasha!

Memorial Day weekend we did something a little crazy and rescued another pup! Kasha is a 3 1/2 year old Catahoula Leopard/Pit mix....yes, we had to Google that too! She is a great dog and after a month or so she and Oliver are getting along great. Well, like brothers and sisters do...she annoys him and he's bigger and can push her around a little! They love looking out the windows together, chasing birds and other animals in the yard and having little battles over toys. Kasha is the snuggler Julie always wanted and loves having her body under the blankets. Her favorite spot in the sun...whether on the deck or on her bed!

Our Happy Place

Apr 23, 2020

We live in a 3 bedroom and 1.5-bathroom corner home in a small town. When the windows are open you can hear the children playing outside and it's the sweetest sound. Our town has a huge park that sits beside a large river where there are many boats to watch. There is also a children's garden at the park where kids can run around and play. Julie's favorite spot in our home is her little reading nook off our family room. The sun comes in that window in the afternoons and you can often find her sitting there reading (and re-reading) some of her favorite books. Mike's favorite place is at the grill on the back deck!

Meet Oliver!

Oliver is our Yellow Lab we rescued in 2015. He is an amazing dog, loves people (especially children), salad dressing (not lettuce), barking at delivery drivers/mailmen, anytime you touch his leash, car rides with the windows down, treats, treats, and treats, and naps on the couch. He can easily entertain himself with his toys by throwing them up and catching them. It's funny to watch!
