Twin Falls, Idaho volunteers gathered together recently to “stuff a duffel” for foster children. Set up in an assembly line style, the actual work moves quickly with many volunteers joining forces.
Once items have been donated, duffel bags are gathered and Ang Malberg, volunteer with One Church One Child, organizes volunteers to work together to help foster youth. The bags are given to youth between the ages of 12 and 18, but this year, they are focusing on helping those who will be aging out of care in the near future.
Many states have local non-profit groups that organize similar events. For those in Idaho who would like to help local foster children, please contact the Department of Health and Welfare.
