This Tennessee woman’s incredible story of survival as an infant who was abandoned helps women who may find themselves in a state of crisis. Her story is actually beyond one of abandonment. Amy Scott was placed in a garbage bag inside of a trash compactor immediately after birth. Clearly, her parents expected she would be crushed and eliminated from existence.  But right at the moment a maintenance man was nearing the compactor, Amy let out a scream and her life was saved. Within an hour after birth, Amy was at the local hospital, pronounced a healthy 8-pound baby girl, and placed for adoption.

Amy now works as the Executive Director at Bethany Christian Services and works hard to help women who find themselves in a crisis. “Knowing my story, and knowing the fact that God has a plan for every life . . . Every child deserves a family,” said Amy.
