Colombia

Colombia is a South American Country that borders Venezuela, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Panama, the Caribbean Sea, and the Pacific Ocean. The country has a rich culture of art, history, and sports (especially football/soccer). Family pride and lineage, or abolengo, is highly valued among the Colombian people. There are many Colombian children waiting to be adopted by a forever family. To inquire about adopting a child from Colombia, contact The Gladney Center for Adoption. The Gladney Center for Adoption works with ICBF to fulfill international adoptions from Colombia. To see more requirements, processes, and practices for adoption in this country, visit ICBF.com where you can learn more about your eligibility for adoption. Note: The U.S. State Department has issued travel warnings due to narcotics-related terrorism, criminal activities, and Covid-19. In 2011, U.S. citizens adopted approximately 216 children from Colombia. Children available for adoption are healthy infants, newborn to 18 months, as well as older and special needs children. These children reside in foster care and orphanages.
