Adoption Questions Need Help

Hi, I want to adopt a my fiances child, he is 18 months now and i have been the "father" since 4 months. His real dad lives in florida and may be hard to contact. Anyone know anything that would help, it would be apreciated.

Is your fiancee getting any child support? If she isn't, or is getting irregular payments, start out by going though Friend of the Court and having his parental rights terminated and ask them about adopting the child. This can be done for a very nominal cost, less than $500, I think.
