Our daughter's birthmom is having a hard time right now. She is young and with little education and is having a hard time even finding a job. To complicate matters, her teeth are in terrible shape and she really needs to have them fixed, for health as well as cosmetic reasons. She really believes this has interfered with her ability to get a job, especially in a service related field, and I tend to agree.
I know that during the time before an adoption becomes final, at least in our sate, (Colorado) we had to make sure that what we gave the birthmothers was for living expenses and was well documented so that it did not appear dishonest in any way. Our daughter is a year old now and the adoption has been final since January. While we are not in a position to totally pay for her teeth to be fixed, we could help out to some degree. Would it still be seen as wrong or not legal to do so? We have not yet discussed this with the birthmom, and she may not even want any help, but we are thinking of asking her and wondered if it would be ok from a legal standpoint.
Thanks

There are State Programs that you could recommend which would completely pay for the Dental Work?
B-Mom may have difficulty with reading, so filling out the forms would be a hardship for her. You might want to evaluate where she stands with this?
