Adopting in NSW

Hi. I am 23 and have wanted to adopt for a long time. Could someone please let me know how we go about getting started and the costs involved. We are interested in an older child from about 2-6 years old and would love a smallish sibling group. We are not looking to begin the process for a few years but are always on the lookout for information.
