Can anyone help me. I live in Queensland Australia and I am wanting to adopt an overseas child - preferrably Romanian or Russian. I cannot find any websites or organisations that deal with Australia for International adoptions. They are ALL USA organisations. Can anyone help me?:confused

If you are an Australian citizen resident in Australia you can only adopt through your state government adoption authority. You need to contact the Qld Dept of Families ... http://www.families.qld.gov.au/family/adoption/overseas/program
There is an Australian adoption program with Romania but it is currently suspended (and has been suspended for some time now). There is no adoption program with Russia because Australia will only approve new programs with Hague Convention on Intercountry Adoption countries and Russia hasn't ratified this convention.
Hope this helps
