Hello Mary. I am just beginning to research St. Mary's have you moved further in the process, how would you rate St. Mary's?
Thanks,
Cinnamon
Given the current status of adoptions in Bulgaria, I would be very careful of starting there with any agency. Most agencies are warning new clients of the delays in Bulgaria. If this agency is not doing that, it would throw up a red flag for me.

We are interested in Saint Mary's Int'l Adoption program. We are looking for references or info on how successful adoptions have been through them. Would you mind telling us of your experience?
If you are considering Poland, you should check out the posts on the Poland board. There are great posts already that can help you with determining if Poland is right for you, agency questions, as well as people you can PM about specific agencies with whom they are working.
My husband and I are "talking" to SMIA about adopting from Bulgaria. We know that it will be 1 - 1 1/2 years, but are optimistic. They are also one of the few agencies who would even talk to us while my husband is deployed. We live about 3 hours from their office and they've been great so far. And, the Founder/Director is Bulgarian, so she knows more about the country and the processes there than someone else might.
I wish you all good luck with your adoptions and look forward to getting pointers from those of you who have done this before; and/or who are farther along in the process than we are.
