tell anything you know about "Confidential Intermediary" search program and how it works....... who I contact to start.......

Contact the office below and they will give you more detailed information about using the Confidential Intermediary program. In a Confidential Intermediary program an employee of the State of Montana will locate and contact the birth parent/s. Generally the program in all states has a "veto option". The veto option give the birth parent/s the right to decline contact. If the birth parent/s do decline contact the State of Montana will not give you information to contact them yourself.

I used the CI Program in Indiana, and they were able to locate my birthmother, despite a lot of limited information in my files and a lot of roadblocks along the way. She wasn't interested in being "found" so to speak, so she was careful with her tracks.
The program has a high success rate in locating birthparents -- but please be aware that there is a pricetag involved....for me, in Indiana, two years ago, it was just shy of $400, and as Colleen mentioned, if the birthparent has no desire for contact, you don't get a bit of information, and you don't get your money back, either. It's a gamble.....but I wouldn't change having done it. It was worth it in the end, even tho my birthmom denied contact.

Thank you for the encouraging words and advise. :D I agree that regardless of the outcome, it is worth it........ put the question to rest one way or another. I am very excited for tomorrow so I can call during working hours!!
