Hi everyone,
This is my first time posting here. I have been reading all of the posts and have learned so much from all of you. Thank you for sharing your joys and heartaches with all of us.
After reading your posts, I am hoping that some of you can help me. My dh and I are planning on adopting an infant from Colombia and we found out that we will be adopting from Chiquitines. I would love to hear from anyone who has dealt with Chiquitines as well as learning information about Cali. I welcome good and bad feedback. Feel free to PM me.
Thank you and I wish you all the best in your adoption journey.

My husband and I adopted our fabulous son from Chiquitines-- 18 years ago! It was a huge success... he is the light of my life. Cannot imagine life without him. He and I are soo close.
My hubby and I had a biological son. It was a wonderful experience to get pregnant, give birth, etc. But for a second child, we wanted to adopt, and bring a child into our lives who might not otherwise have a good life.
We adopted our son in November, 1993. We stayed at the Pension Stein. Jorge and staff were wonderful to us. My son was wonderul. When they handed him to me-- it was almost no different than giving birth. Okay, yes, it was different. I did not give birth. But handing me my new son I felt the same way: "My new son-- I will protect you and do everything I can to always give you a good life". I immediatley felt protective and felt love for this new wonderful boy, who was 3 months old at the time we met him.
Going to Colombia as fabulous. we had a wonderful time and learned so much. Now my son is 18. We love him SOOO much. He is an integral part of our lives.
The adoption process was great, and going to Colombia was so interesting and fabulous;. Good Luck everyone... I hope you have the same wonderful expedrience we did! I am sure you will!
