Which agency to go with???

My two brothers adoptions were done through them - they are now 30 and 32 years old!! LOL But we had a good expierence with them!! You might want to consier just getting a completed homestudy and then independently networking for yourself and then have them do post placement supervision and finalization for you - they might even allow you to network through them but not invest all your money in just them finding you a mom looking to make an adoptin plan. Thanks for the reply. We have just got our worker and are starting the homestudy. I am not sure how to go about it if we find children independent of the agency how would we begin to adopt them would our agency just take them on and work with us? Also are the children in the foster care system just out there waiting or do the agencys all have them on some sort of list? Are all the avalible children on all the agancys list or are some on one and the others on another? this is confusing wven me as I write this so if anyone has any idea what I am talking about please reply. I am wondering how this works. If we fing a sib. group we want could another family from another agancy be looking into adopting them at the same time or do they kinda all work together?? ok thats all for now thanks!

Foster Kids have a Case Manager or Social Worker. When you do your profile. They try and match a profile to a child that would fit into your Family. Sometimes with placements the Social Workers accept homestudys for a certain period of time. Which could mean 5,10, 20, 30 Families all looking at the same kid (s), and then the studies go to Panel Review for placement.
