31 years ago, I was adopted by my parents. I was born in a Bangkok hospital and left in the abandoned childrens ward. I have no idea what hospital, but I am wanting to find my birth mother and my twin brother, whom she kept. I would like to find out how to go about doing so. I would love to someday tell my mother that Im alive and well, and that she has two beautiful granddaughters and that she did the right thing. I was raised right, and lead a great life. Can anybody help me out? I have always wondered about and want to meet my "family".

Do you know about ISRR, the International Soundex Reunion Registry? It's a free service you can check out at www.isrr.net. It's international in scope and unites people who are searching for each other.
I've come across a website devoted to international adoptees, too, but I don't remember its url.
I wish you lots of luck in your search. A twin brother, too! I hope you find them.

My friend,
Good news. You are not alone. Well I am not adopted. My child was adopted out by my ex-gf. This is how I got started involved in adoption things.
I am originally from bangkok, thailand. Your case is not the only case. There are tons that did the same as you are doing. What they did was, they placed ads in thai news papers and magazines. I haven't gotten that far. My case is a bit different. You can find your family my friend. It is now more common to do advertisement search in papers in thailand. This will be your good start. If I have more leads, i will let you know.

Mstar,
on those ads, you will need pics. at least one pic in each ad. they will help. there are lots of good people in thailand, as well as bad. so, don't get ripped off. Anyways, putting pics are so common there. so, need not to be shy. okie dokes. just thought of those a while ago.

Hi
The Thai Govt has established a Follow Up Section within the Dept of Social Devleopment & Welfare. All adoptions have to be approved by the Dept of Social Welfare so they have records of any information on birth family. Through the Follow Up Section you can lodge a request to make contact with your birth family - the dept acts as go between you and you birth family.
The address is:
Follow Up Section
Child Adoption Centre
Bureau of Anti Trafficking in Women & Children
Dept of Social Development & Welfare
255 Rajvithi Rd
Bangkok 10400 Thailand or email adoption@loxinfo.co.th
