Hi everyone, I sent my application to the regional office of my agency to be on the waiting list for singles. As soon as they received it during mid-may they said they would forward it to their main office June 1, which was when the waiting list was soon to open. I was wondering if anyone had a standard time on how long it took from application to acceptance. I haven't heard anything yet, it's been close to 3 weeks. I didn't know if this was normal or if it's just taking longer because I'm going on the waiting list.
Any feedback you have would be really appreciated. The woman I've been working with so far has been great and always answered my questions right away, but she's on vacation and I didn't want to e-mail someone else until I got feedback of average time. If it should have been here by now, I'm going to call to see what's going on, maybe it got lost in the mail, which wouldn't surprise me with the way our mail has been in my building.
Thanks,
Amy
I think you are going to have to call your agency. Although there might be a good estimate of the wait from the time your dossier is logged in at Beijing and a referral letter, the time an agency accepts your application is individual to that agency.
