Our son in currently in foster care in the Philippines. We are just wondering what exactly will happen when we go to pick him up. We don't really know what to expect in terms of how our son will be transferred to us. Should we expect to receive our son on the first day? Will we meet with the foster family in their home and receive our son there? Can we visit with the foster family a while before we take our son? Or does the foster family usually bring him to KBF, the foster care agency, and we receive him at KBF? Should we even expect to meet the foster family? If there is anyone else who has adopted through KBF and can share their experience, we would appreciate it greatly.
Your adoption agency should have sent you a "travel packet" with all the information on what to expect, and what to do. Our daughter was in an orphanage, so ours was different. Have a great time!
