international adoption from Calgary

Hi there,

Has anyone adopted internationally (Russia, Ukraine, etc) while being in Calgary? My wife an I are looking into the process and are not sure where to start.

Hi,

You can contact some local Adoption Services Agencies and they should have an International Adoption Seminar for you to take. The agency I used has a several International Seminars throughout the year, and these are very helpful in providing information about international adoption throughout the world. They also bring in adoptive parents who have adopted from the area you are interested in (if they can find them.) These parents can offer tips and advice from their adoption experience.

BTW, attending this seminar was a requirement for my adoption dossier in Alberta.
