Can anyone share costs and info you are SWAN approved but adopt from another state?
I know we have to pay for the homestudy - $1500? Do the states have additional charges? Are there any that are good (or bad) to deal with???
It seems like every listing in PA that we check on is already matched or they 'hiding' info on their bios - our social worker has indicated that they want all the kids to look 'perfect' on the bios in PA so that she can be the one to break us the 'truth' grrrrrrr I don't get this! In just a brief amount of searching other states many of them are VERY upfront with levels of issues, diagnosis etc.
And another thought - if we get siblings out of state - do we have to pay for the homestudy twice?
