We have adopted two girls through an adoption agency that was forced to close its doors. We are required to send yearly updates until our girls are 18. Does anyone know how I would go about finding what agency has taken over for this one? What happens when we don't send our yearly updates?
The agency in question is Alamo Adoption which was located in San Antonio Texas.
I would say contact the county agency in charge of foster care or adoptions, if there is not one, contact the state governemnt.

The same thing happened with the agency I placed my son through. I found out who to send updates to via the State DSS Office.
I have this book called The Locator that lists laws and addresses for every state. This is what it says for Texas:
State Adoption Department
Attn: Adoption Registry, Y-943
P.O. Box 149030
Austin, TX 78714-9030
(512) 834-4485 (adoption records)
(512) 438-4800 (main)
Hope this helps!

I am not sure if you ever got an answer but the Texas Department of state health Service now has their records
