Hey, all I am posting this here as well as on the general fost/adopt board because I know every state is different...
Our fost/adopt toddler has been with us since April and the first permanency review/hearing is coming up. The goal is adoption, but no one is expecting any changes or TPR to occur yet as bparent has not had much chance to work a plan yet.
Our question is whether we should attend. Our understanding is that we can go and if we have something to say we can say it, but we won't be included in the rest of the hearing.
Do those of you with experience suggest that we go, or not? Of course, we want to show our desire to keep R where he is and to adopt him, but we don't want to go if that will be perceived as pushy.
Any and all advice appreciated. Thanks!
