Hi to all. I have a quick ques. I'm in Ga so I'm not sure if it's the same all over. I was told by another foster parent last night that DFCS isn't allowed to put more than 2 children under the age of 2 in your home. I have looked in my manual but cannot find it. The mom I talked to said it's been awhile since she's read it and doesn't remember exactly where she found it. We told our CW this yesterday and she said she didn't know anything about this, but they haven't been honest with us with most of the children they've put in our home so we're not sure what to believe. If you know please let me know, since we have 2 5mo olds and a 2yr old along w/ our 9 and 6yr bio. Have a great day. Marcie1 boy 9 and 1 girl 6 bio2 boys 5 mo fos1 girl 2 fos

I've heard the same for Oregon, but I don't think they put there own rules in writing because when they break 'em for any reason at all (emergency placement or keeping sibs together) and something happens they don't want to have been in direct violation of themselves. Maybe??? I know I can take 3 kids 0-9years, but would have to have my certifier review if I wanted any under 1 year. More confusion for you.

In Alabama, the rule is maximum 6 foster kids between ages 0-18; maximum 10 kids total 0-18 (including bio & adopted). 2 kids 24 months or younger. I have a 2 year old & one that is about to be 2.
I have had 3 under 2 for brief periods for emergency care. N turned 2 in April, K will be 2 in December - in July, I had them plus a 9 week old baby & his 15 month old sister.
