Step-daughter adoption....

I filed for adoption of my step-daughter in Sept. Her mother then filed a motion to dismiss the motion without any reason. She has not seen, nor tried to see the child in 1 year 4 months. She also doesn't pay child support. Why is she trying to stop this? Who knows. Anyway, the motion still has not been ruled on by the judge and it's now December. When will we get a court date???
